Overview:
Led the development of a comprehensive public art strategy for the Riyadh Metro, comprising 85 stations and 176 kilometers of track. This initiative positioned art as a transformative tool to enhance civic identity and urban experience, aligning with Riyadh’s broader vision to become one of the world’s most livable cities.

My Role:
Worked in close collaboration with architectural teams and city planners to develop the architectural blueprints and site-specific public art integration plans. Co-concepted the master planning and design process to ensure that each station reflected local cultural narratives while fulfilling technical and spatial requirements.
Drove community engagement and stakeholder alignment to ensure the public art framework addressed the aspirations of Saudi communities and adhered to the technical capacities of the infrastructure. Created a Strategic Placement Manual detailing site selection parameters, curatorial direction, renderings, blueprints, demographic data, heritage research, and recommended art types.
Oversaw the entire curatorial and procurement pipeline, including RFP development, artist identification, submission guidelines, competition processes, panel facilitation, and selection protocols. Developed and implemented the Public Art Master Plan and created tools to guide ongoing implementation, operations, and maintenance.
This work demonstrated how marketing, branding, and design intersect to communicate a city’s ambitions, and how thoughtful placemaking can catalyze long-term cultural and civic value. It also underscores my ability to lead at the intersection of public infrastructure, community engagement, and cultural strategy
